scenes from Santorini
Santorini is one of those places that just feels unreal. The walkways were packed with people, both locals and tourists, all out enjoying the evening. I did a little shopping, picked up some jewelry, and even bought a painting from the sweetest artist to remember the trip by. Afterwards, I joined the many tourists and locals alike taking in the 9pm sunset over the caldera. MAGICAL.
I ended the night with a glass of wine on my little balcony, staring out at the sea as the stars came out and the lights and music danced over Fira. I woke up in my Airbnb with the best view — the caldera, the blue skies, the white buildings all glowing in the early morning light. It felt like I was waking up in a postcard.
I spent the morning wandering through the quiet, cobblestone streets of Fira. It was so peaceful with hardly anyone around yet. For breakfast, I found a spot overlooking the ocean. After relaxing in my Airbnb, I walked over to Imerovigli for lunch, another quiet spot with some of the best views on the island.
In the afternoon, I rented an ATV (is there a better way to explore while in Greece?) and headed to Karterados, where I stayed in the cutest Airbnb with the most badass group of women. We spent the next few nights leveling up our businesses, exploring together, laughing and learning, and soaked up all that Santorini has to offer.
We spent a few hours at Vlychada Beach — the black sand, the towering cliffs, the whole place just felt otherworldly. Time was spent in Oia - walking around, taking pictures (of course), and took in the sights.
Our last full day we sailed out of Amoudi Bay and spent the day on the slightly stormy Aegean. The deep blue of the sea was insane, and it was the perfect way to end an unforgettable trip on this beautiful island. Santorini, you have my heart.
